Instead of settling for another blurry mirror selfie, you've got me third-wheeling with my camera to document the flirting, stolen kisses, and whatever else happens when you two get together.
That's basically the idea behind my Signature Bar Sessions.
We'll start with drinks at a bar that fits your vibe, then take things outside for a little exploring around Kansas City. Maybe you're the couple that's all over each other, or perhaps roasting your partner is your favorite love language. Either way, I'm here for it.
I've already done my homework on your relationship, so you won't spend two hours being told how to act in front of my camera.
And when our session wraps up? You've still got the rest of the day to get into whatever trouble you two have planned.
Respectfully... what happens after I leave is none of my business.

Signature Bar Sessions are for couples who are still ridiculously into each other and aren't afraid to show it.

- Up to 2 hours together because we're not rushing through your date just to check photos off a list
- First round of drinks on me! That's one drink for each of you, whether you're ordering a cocktail, mocktail, or something else on the menu
- A personalized session experience planned around your relationship, personalities, and the kind of photos you're actually wanting
- The option for 2 outfits because sometimes one cute date night look simply isn't enough
- Polaroids to take home so you've got something to remember the day before your full gallery even arrives
- Behind-the-scenes iPhone clips to replay all the little moments from your date
- A minimum of 60 professionally edited photos delivered through an online gallery within 4 weeks

What if we're awkward in front of the camera?
First of all, welcome to the club of people who have absolutely no idea what to do with their hands when someone pulls out a camera.
The good news? I'm not going to have you standing around smiling at me for two hours.
Before your session, I'll get to know how you two actually interact, from your inside jokes to the little things you love doing together. That way, when we're hanging out at the bar, I can give you prompts that feel natural instead of making you recreate some random couple's Pinterest photos.
And if all else fails, you've got a drink to hold. Problem solved.
Do we have to drink alcohol?
Absolutely not! I'm here for the cocktail bar vibes, not to convince you to order tequila shots at 2 PM.
Mocktails, Diet Cokes, sparkling water... whatever you're sipping on is perfectly fine with me. The whole point is to enjoy the atmosphere and spend time together, not how much alcohol is in your glass.
Plus, your first round is on me!
Do we get to choose the bar?
Of course! If there's a bar you two already love, let me know and I'll look into whether we can shoot there.
Otherwise, I've got a list of Kansas City spots that photograph beautifully, and we'll find one that fits your personalities and the look you're going for.
Just keep in mind that some bars have photography restrictions or additional fees, so we'll work through those details before making anything official.
What if one of us is outgoing and the other is more reserved?
Then you sound like plenty of the couples I've worked with!
You don't have to be the type of people who make out in public or dance on top of a bar to get photos you'll love. Some couples are super playful and goofy, while others are more into those quiet, cuddly moments.
I'm not going to make you act like someone you're not just because I saw a cute pose on Pinterest. We'll figure out what feels right for both of you.
What should we wear?
You know that outfit you wore to your friend's wedding and haven't had an excuse to wear since? This is a pretty good time to bring it back out.
I love a good cocktail-hour look, but we can absolutely play around with colors, textures, and whatever makes you feel your best.
You'll also get a wardrobe guide to help you pull everything together, so you're not left staring at your closet wondering what the heck to wear.
Do we need to be celebrating an anniversary or something special?
Nope. Being obsessed with each other is a good enough reason for me.
I've photographed couples celebrating anniversaries, and I love making those milestones feel extra special. But if it's just a random Saturday and you want to get dressed up with your favorite person, I'm here for that too.
You don't need to wait for a ring, a birthday, or another year together to have photos worth keeping.
Are we spending the entire session inside the bar?
Not unless we've planned something different for your session!
We'll typically start inside the bar, where you can grab your drinks, get comfortable, and enjoy yourselves for a bit.
Afterward, we'll head outside for more movement and a completely different look. Think walking through downtown Kansas City, stealing kisses on the sidewalk, and maybe spinning each other around if that's your thing.
You'll get a mix of those moody, intimate bar photos and the more playful moments that happen once we're out exploring.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Well, this is the Midwest, so we both know the weather likes to do whatever it wants.
Luckily, a good portion of your session takes place indoors. If the forecast isn't looking great for our time outside, we'll talk through our options and figure out what makes the most sense for your date.
When do we get our photos?
I know you're going to want to see them ASAP, and I don't blame you.
You'll receive your iPhone clips within 24 hours, a few sneak peeks within 2 days, and your full gallery of at least 60 edited images within 4 weeks.
So yes, you'll have plenty of time to obsess over your photos and figure out which one is becoming your new phone wallpaper.
